Vacuum first holding the nozzle above the stain. The alcohol will penetrate the stain but it can also go deeper and harm the padding under the carpet if you are not careful. Then rinse it with plain water.

Then lightly blot the stain using a white cloth. Blot everything and repeat the procedure again. When the ink is gone rinse your carpet with a warm water vinegar solution to prevent damage from the alcohol. Once you begin to lightly blot the ink stain from the carpet you should start to see the color transfer onto the towel.

You can combine rubbing alcohol and a bowl of lukewarm water to remove permanent ink stain on the carpet. Apply enough to cover the stain and allow it to soak down about half an inch. Do it until the ink mark is gone. Keep blotting for 30 minutes so the alcohol has time to dissolve the ink.

Once the area is stain free dab the area with a towel dipped in lukewarm water. First thing first dampen the ink stain with rubbing alcohol. Once the alcohol has soaked for a minute take a clean rag and begin blotting more ink from the stain. Repeat this process a few times.

To remove ink from carpet wet a clean cloth with rubbing alcohol and gently blot the stain.
